Re: Slight odor
Hi Snake, Firing 5 slugs, at full power, in rapid succession, from the GR-1 Anvil is not advised. It is possible to inadvertently exceed temperature limits on some components before the integrated temperature monitors can alert you to an elevated temperature. That being said - the unit is designed t...

Re: High Capacity Batteries for more shots per battery
We *DO NOT* recommend using higher mAh batteries in the GR-1.
Using over 3300mAh could result in over-current to the CQR chargers which could cause a catastrophic failure in the charging system.

Re: Projectile Weight/Rifling.
Making low cost armatures is great, but some of us would be willing to spend the extra money on something that would provide a more stable flight trajectory. Granted, you did say the cost goes up "drastically," but for those of us with limited options the value of our lives doesn't exactl...

Re: Using core/barrel to reduce leakage flux
Yes, using an external iron/ferrite shell would reduce flux leakage but it is impractical from a manufacturing standpoint.

Re: Spare Batteries
Hi Snake! This is the battery that's used in all the GR-1 models: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XKL8GRR Unfortunately, the batch 1 and 2 models have a custom hard shell that requires assembly prior to use. If you have a batch 1 or batch 2 GR-1, please send an email to contact@arcflashlabs.com...

Re: Using HVFC60 at >24V
The manual says to use the HVFC60 below 25V input. Assuming that having an input voltage of 48V would make a DCDC converter faster and/or more efficient for use at 400V output, what needs to change to make it usable at 48V? The system would require a complete redesign to use at 48V. If you are inte...

Re: Can the anvil be powered with bypassing the charger?
Hi, I was wondering if there where a way to power this from a secondary source, without hurting the charging system? Yes, although this action will void your warrenty and we don't recommend it - the GR-1 can be powered by a 20-25V external power supply capable of supplying current of at least 30 Am...

Re: Larger battery
I wouldn't recommend using a larger battery - the higher amperage could cause problems with the charger
